 | Day1 Luang Prabang... on arrival Luang Prabang, a declared Unesco site and farvored as "the best preserved city in South East Asia"; discover the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai that typically Laotian style; get a climb up the top of mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city as the sun is setting down the other side of Mekong river; find yourself lose in the Night market, where you can purchase a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.
Day2 Luang Prabang - PakOu... browse the morning with a short tour to admire the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground which represents classical Laotian architecture; embark on a cruise upstream the Mekong river, that give you a breathtaking view of the tranquilt countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims; make a stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the man distill the local fermented rice liquor while the women work on their hand-weavings. | |  |  |  | Day3 Luang Prabang - KuangSi water fall... hold a fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms from the faithful residents; visit the morning Phosi Market, where a diverse home-made products as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings that come from the vicinity area of Hmong Village, Laoloum Village and Khmu' Village; drive to the beautiful Kuangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turqoise pools or walk along the forest trails; enroute stop on our return at a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) papermaking before having our sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. | |  |  |  | Day4 Luang Prabang - Departure.... pay a visit to the National Museum once known as former Royal Palace and feast your eyes with a lovely collection of the artifacts that reflect the richness of Laos culture, showing its dating back the days of the early Kings to the last sovereign. Last minute revisit many a quaint gift-shop in town then prepare for departure. |
