Tasts of real Vietnam

We took cultural tour of Vietnam with Indochina Voyages. This was our first trip to South East Asia, and we chose Vietnam partly because of its foods. We had many delicious dishes, but the highlight was the variety of street foods. It would have been impossible to navigate the “real” Vietnam street foods without our excellent guides who has shown us the snapshots of real Vietnam.

Before we arrived to Vietnam, we had a little problem of E-Visa which was promptly resolved by the most helpful travel consultant (Van), but because of this glitch, we were slightly anxious before we arrived (not about the company, about how we cope unfamiliar culture and customs). We did not need to worry. We had excellent and friendly guides, aided by extremely good drivers (essential if you are traveling in a car!) Although there was not a slightest problem once we were in Vietnam, had a need arisen, I am confident that we would have been given the assistance of the highest quality.

Although there are many positives (and virtually no negatives), we would like to specifically comment on the accommodations chosen by Indochina Voyages. They were not the most expensive hotels and lodges, but the services we received were on the par offered in Japan, famous with the high standard of hospitality (omotenashi). We can only imagine that the company had done a lot of research to find excellent accommodations that offer value for money. We can recommend the cultural tour of Vietnam to anyone who wishes to see this wonderful country with great history and natural beauty. We hope to be back for second time soon.
