Taking a trip to Can Tho city will be certainly an unforgettable memory of many travelers. Be the biggest city of Mekong Delta in Vietnam, Can Tho is popular for its unique floating markets, ancient pagodas, fresh fruits, delicious food, idyllic landscapes, and warm locals. I had a great chance to visit this beautiful city in this summer. Indeed, this trip is an amazing experience because this is the first time I went alone. Here are some ways to travel to Can Tho that I think it will be useful for those who go for the first time. Vietnam tour packages
Get in by express buses to Can Tho
Thanks to Trung Luong expressway, coming to this city just takes about 3 hours. If you live in Ho Chi Minh City, you should go to the Western Bus Station at 395 Kinh Duong Vuong Street, Binh Tan District to buy a ticket. You may find out many bus operations servicing from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho. But, I recommend that you should choose one of three big operators as Thanh Buoi, Phuong Trang, and Mai Linh. These also have a departure point at Le Hong Phong Street where shuttle buses will bring passengers to the Western Bus Station.
I chose Thanh Buoi because of its convenience and quickness. The price is 125.000VND/one-way ticket. It just stops for 10 minutes (toilet-breaks) on the way from Ho Chi Minh City and takes around 3 hours to come to Can Tho. I got a free snack and free water from the company to enjoy on the way. How such a sweet thing! Furthermore, Thanh Buoi offers free shuttle buses to bring me to the city center when arriving.
Get in by air
Currently, there are three main internal air corridors to Can Tho City, including Vietnam Airlines (Ha Noi and Phu Quoc), Vietjet Air (Ha Noi and Da Nang) and Vasco (Con Dao, Da Lat, and Cam Ranh). The price ranges from 1.800.000 VND to 3.000.000 VND for the return ticket, and it depends on each hop. If you live in any of these areas, traveling by plane will be a perfect choice to get easily.
Get in by motorbike or car
Going to Can Tho by motorbike is always a fantastic experience that most backpackers love it. Although I don’t have enough health to ride a long way, I will try in the future. It’s not hard for travelers to hire a motorbike in Ho Chi Minh City. They can find out many rental stores at District 1, but remember to show a driving license to utilize it. Take a ride, enjoy beautiful scenes and locals’ life on the way to Can Tho, and make your trip more wonderful. Indochina travel Vietnam
Hiring a car is similar to hiring the motorbike. It costs about $140-180 for a one-way trip (or return one in the same day) for 2-3 passengers from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho. But, if you want to drive yourself, you need to check well in advance about the conditions. Don’t forget to search the correct direction on Google Maps so that you can be on the right track.
Consider your budget and demands to choose the most convenient transport for your next travel to Can Tho. It’s time to explore the most beautiful and wonderful city in the water region.
