Love Waterfall is located in San Sa Ho commune, Sapa district, Lao Cai is close to 4 km from the Northwest of Sapa Town. You can reach the Love Waterfall by taking a trekking trail through the scenic Hoang Lien National Park. In addition to the impressive landscape, the Love Waterfall attaches to the romantic love story between O Qui Ho and a seventh fairy. The story tells that a long time ago, beautiful fairies from heaven chose the Waterfall as a bathing place. One day, because a seventh fairy of them was mesmerized by flute sound of a young boy near the fall, she spent every night listening to his melodies. Not long time after, her parents came to know the secret and forbade her from coming back to the Waterfall. She extremely remembered him, so every afternoon, she stood in the arch to overlook the fall with the hope of listening to his melodies. Unfortunately, she is unable to hear and see him. She was so sad that she transformed herself into a bird flying surround the peak of the mountain; as a result, she could live together with her love forever. From then on, the name Love Waterfall is born.
